Weekend marking the 70th anniversary
of the Encyclopedia Talmudit

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Encyclopedia Talmudit, a unique weekend of Torah lessons and cantorial performances was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Jerusalem. The weekend opened with a special cantorial concert by Yehuda Kalman Productions, with musical arrangements by Rabbi Menachem Bristovsky, who also played the piano. He was accompanied by the famous cantors Yaakov Motzan, Joseph Malovany, Avremi Roth and Zvi Weiss. In honor of the concert, Rabbi Bristovsky arranged two special medleys: A medley of the songs of the Malavsky family and a medley of Carlebach songs, which left a strong impression on the audience. You are invited to sample the concert performances.

On Friday morning, captivating lectures were delivered by Rabbi Prof. Yigal Shafran, Prof. Aviad HaCohen, Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi David Lau, and Rabbi Shabtai Rappaport. On Saturday, further classes were given by Rabbi Prof. Avraham Steinberg, director of the Encyclopedia Talmudit, Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Weinreb, Prof. Aviad Hacohen and Rabbi Shabtai Rappaport. The cantors Joseph Malovany and Zvi Weiss accompanied the Shabbat prayers. All the participants enjoyed a unique spiritual experience, and they expressed their gratitude and admiration for the great Encyclopedia Talmudit project and for the organizers of the event.
