At a moving ceremony at the headquarters of the IDF's Military Rabbinate, in the presence of senior officers and heads of the Talmudic Encyclopedia, the first 3,000 copies of the new volume of the Talmudic Encyclopedia were presented. The entire volume is dedicated to topics related to War in Light of Halacha – hence the book's title. These volumes are currently being distributed within the IDF and will be placed in all military synagogues and made available to military rabbis on regular and reserve duty.

The free distribution of the volumes was made possible through the generous contribution of six wealthy Torah enthusiasts, each contributing funds for the purchase of 500 copies for distribution within the IDF. The donors are from Israel, as well as from New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.

A special evening took place in the Clanton Park Community in Toronto, Canada on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024. With 150 participants from various city communities in attendance, Rabbi Prof. Avraham Steinberg delivered an engaging shiur titled: "War According to the Halacha: Principles and Details."

Benny Gur, the CDO of the Talmudic Encyclopedia, presented a special dedication project in memory of Colonel Yehonatan Steinberg HY"D, the commander of the Nahal Brigade, who was killed in action on the first day of the Simchat Torah War. This initiative is to donate 500 volumes of the new book " War in Light of Halacha" which was published by the Talmudic Encyclopedia, to the IDF in memory of Yoni HY"D. These volumes will be distributed to the military rabbis, commanders, soldiers, and synagogues on all IDF bases.

The Toronto community expressed its appreciation to the Munk family, who were founding members of the Clinton Park community and immigrated to Israel from Toronto.

Judy Steinberg, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Munk is the mother of Colonel Yoni Steinberg HY"D.

Special thanks to Rabbi Seth Grauer and Rabbi Yehuda Mann for their dedicated efforts in organizing this memorable evening.
